The Charleston Library Society is a subscription library and receives no tax support. Gifts of books, videos, and other materials are welcome; all gifts and monetary contributions are tax deductible.

ADULT ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
Adult annual memberships are $50. These are family memberships and include one free minor membership each year. Memberships are billed annually according to the month joined.

MINOR MEMBERSHIP
One free minor membership (for a person age 21 or younger) is included with each adult membership. Additional minor memberships (for child age 18 or younger) are available at $3.00 each per year.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP
Junior memberships are available for those younger than 18 whose parents are not members.
The fee is $15 per year.

COLLEGE MEMBERSHIP
College of Charleston faculty members have full membership rights. College of Charleston students have free research privileges but must have a student or adult membership to check out books.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
Any college student with a valid student ID (no age restriction) may purchase an individual membership for $20.

RESEARCH MEMBERSHIP
Memberships are available to researchers for $5 per day.

GROUP MEMBERSHIP
Organizations may purchase memberships at $100 per year for use by less than ten people. Memberships for use by ten or more people are available on a sliding scale as approved by the Board. For all group memberships, employees who will be using the membership should be designated. Privileges are the same as those for the adult membership.
