The Charleston Library Society receives many inquiries and requests for information. Due to the small size of its staff, it is unable to offer extensive research services. For research requests that the staff can not answer in a short time, the Charleston Library Society will charge a research fee of $25 per half hour to be paid by credit card or check at the time of delivery. The Charleston Library Society also conducts research regarding its photograph collections. Please read the Photo Research Services Form for information about services and fees, image duplication, and copyright requests.

The Charleston Library Society encourages researchers to use the Society's collections at 164 King Street, Charleston, SC 29401, during our hours of operation. Members may use the library free of charge. There is a $5.00 daily fee for non-members.
